The partnership combines nearly 70 years of experience in project management, electronics engineering, and global toy and game manufacturing.

GPI is announcing a mutually beneficial manufacturing partnership with Kawakids. This is a strategic partnership meant to combine both parties’ global audience, strengthen existing experience, and bolster manufacturing capabilities. This partnership will primarily allow North American toy and game companies to have access to next-level toy and electronics manufacturing through GPI’s dedicated project management team.
GPI’s President & CEO, Michael Fisher, says, “I’m thrilled to have formed our partnership between GPI and Kawakids. Having visited and worked with China factories for close to 30 years now, I’ve learned what a successful factory looks like and can produce, and Kawakid’s Ke Wei He factory is excellent. Their factory complex is spotless and very organized. They have instituted state of the art technology and machinery, and their engineering and manufacturing teams are highly skilled and maintain a high attention to detail. Together with GPI’s focus on project management and product development, this is surely a great partnership that will benefit all our customers.”
GPI is the toy and boardgame industry’s best-kept secret. They’re a US-based company, offering a suite of services, such as manufacturing, custom sourcing, freight forwarding, and safety testing, for over 45 years. They’ve manufactured thousands of games, millions of dice, and served 750+ clients like Wizards of the Coast, Bananagrams, Steve Jackson Games, Carma Games, Paizo, The Op, and so many more.
Kawakids has over 20 years of Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) experience in the Korean, Japanese, and European toy and electronics markets. They specialize in electronics of all types, with the ability to offer printed circuit boards that are designed, developed, and manufactured in-house by their on-site project engineering team. Some of their most recognizable global brand clients include SEGA, Disney, Starbucks, CMON, Verizon, and UltraPRO.
Kawakid’s CEO, Aston Ni, says, “We are very glad that Kawakids can become a partner of GPI. Over the past 25 years, since the establishment of our factory, I have met thousands of companies. Among them, I am extremely impressed by GPI’s exquisite design and Michael’s dedicated spirit. I believe that starting from 2026, with the help of GPI’s innovative product development and design, we will open up a broader horizon in the children’s toy sector and the plastic products industry!”
Together, they’re bringing all their expertise to the table to best serve their clients. As toys and games become more complex, their combined project management skills and engineering expertise will make mass production simple and successful. Offering manufacturing services is a competitive market; GPI and Kawakids hope that partnering opens doors for both companies in a shared, global market, but the primary focus is on providing new clientele with quality products. They will work together to anticipate pain points, mitigate risks, and keep projects on track for their clients looking to diversify their manufacturing.
